About

Adeeb Adrian, born Adeeb Adrian Alhaijali in Rzeszów, Poland, is a screenwriter, musician, and multimedia storyteller whose artistic journey spans journalism, music production, and filmmaking. Though born in Poland to an Iraqi-Turkish father and a Polish mother, Adeeb moved to Denmark at a young age, where he grew up and spent most of his life. His multicultural background later inspired his professional name – Adeeb Adrian – a synthesis of his diverse heritage and creative identity.

From an early age, Adeeb demonstrated a deep fascination with cinema and storytelling. As a child, he would spend hours creating short films at home using his toys as actors, meticulously setting scenes and imagining entire worlds. During his teenage years, this imagination evolved into writing – he began drafting loglines for potential movies, dreaming of one day bringing them to life on screen. Although these early exercises were purely for fun, they planted the seeds for a lifelong passion for screenwriting and storytelling.

After completing his education, Adeeb moved to Copenhagen, where he began his professional career as a web-TV journalist. Working behind and in front of the camera gave him valuable hands-on experience in editing, camera operation, and production, refining the technical skills that would later influence both his music videos and cinematic work. This period also nurtured his sense of narrative pacing and visual storytelling – elements that would become central to his screenwriting style.

In the creative world of music, Adeeb made a remarkable impact alongside his brother Kamil Alhaijali. The duo gained international attention after winning a mixing competition in the United States hosted by legendary producer Jack Joseph Puig, known for his work with artists such as Lady Gaga and The Rolling Stones. Building on this success, the brothers formed the alternative pop-rock band Mannequin Mars, which went on to sign a record deal with Sony Music Denmark. In 2020, they released their debut album, marking a major milestone in Adeeb’s artistic career and showcasing his versatility as both a musician and songwriter.

Despite his achievements in music, Adeeb’s passion for film remained undiminished. In 2024, he revisited his childhood dream and began writing his first screenplay, “Behind the Mind of a Killer.” The psychological narrative not only marked his screenwriting debut but also earned him the Best Narrative Feature Screenplay award at the LA Under the Stars Film Festival. The experience was significant – it was Adeeb’s first award.

Following that success, Adeeb wrote his second screenplay, “Hats,” a fantasy-drama that continued his momentum in the film world. The script won Best Fantasy Drama at the Los Angeles Film Awards, was nominated for Best Screenplay at the International Indie Film and Screenplay Festival in Austria, and became a semi-finalist at the DaVinci International Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Today, Adeeb Adrian continues to merge his technical skills, musical background, and narrative imagination into a distinctive creative vision. Whether composing, directing, or writing, his work reflects a lifelong devotion to storytelling – a passion born in childhood, refined through experience, and recognized on international stages.
